Ford's Reality Show - building on success with social media

Ford announced on Monday that it plans to make a reality show called "Focus: Rally America" which will promote its 2012 Focus compact car. The show will be produced by the same team that produces "The Amazing Race" for CBS. Six teams of two will compete in a five-week race for a $100,000 prize. Co-creator of "The Amazing Race" predicted that viewers will improve their views with the Focus after seeing the high-tech side of the model in the show.

To me, this news is a perfect combination of what's discussed at past lectures of this course: from automobile to media to social network. The catch is that the show will be broadcasted on Hulu for free, but of course with commercials.
