Microsoft Reveals Its Energy Management Tool: Hohm
Google and Microsoft are focusing on development of Energy Management Tool. As other companies' different corporate strategies, Google launched Energy tool earlier than Microsoft. And Microsoft crossed all its functions and did a safer, more put-together launch. The article talked about Hohm's main features and main differences with PowerMeter( Google's Energy Management Tool). The two companies are competing heavily in online energy management software.

I find it particularly interesting that both Microsoft Hohm and Google PowerMeter have both partnered with the metering company Itron.

It begs the question of who will actually control the metering data, Google and Microsoft, Itron, or the individual.
