Has Apple iPad launch really cannibalized the sales of the netbooks as a subsegment in the personal computer sector?
The graph seems to show a clear trend for now. We will have to wait and see what the netbbok manufacturers do in terms of adapting their product strategies over the next year.
"iPad are no better at laptops than anything, they're just cheaper," Steve Jobs himself commented at the unveiling of the iPad in January.
ReplyDeleteSo far, there are at least 10 things that Netbooks still do better than an iPad: video chat, run Flash, do programming, upload photos or video from a camera, store more than 64GB of data, play Facebook games, swap batteries, install CD media (or any media other than from App Store), type on your lap, and upgrade.
